Free Weather API Terms of Use
World Weather Online requires credit to be given by all our free weather API users.
If you wish to use our free weather API without giving us credit then you can update to our premium weather API. Our premium weather API users do not need to link back to us and there is no need to put our brand name anywhere.
Once you have purchased our weather API, do not make your API key public or let others use in their applications or websites. You may use it on different applications but not let others use your own API key.
We request our free weather API users to not exceed 250 requests per day. We are flexible on our request limit, so if at any point you feel you are going to exceed 250 requests per day then please do let us know.
Our weather data is updated every three-four hours and we would therefore recommend our weather API users to cache data at their end for at least an hour before requesting new data for the same location.
If you intend to use our free weather API on mobile devices like an iPhone, desktop widget or any other medium apart from a website then the only mandatory credit is to write World Weather Online.
If you intend to use our free weather data on a website or blog, we require a link back from that website and World Weather Online clearly mentioned in the title of the link.
